Most Excellent Grand High Priest 2014 - 2015

MEGHP Peter G. OuthouseMost Excellent Companion Peter G. Outhouse was born in Digby, Nova Scotia on February 27, 1959, his parents were Grafton and Annabel (Elliott) Outhouse. He grew up on Long Island, Nova Scotia in a community called Tiverton with a population of 150 people. In his opinion this was one of the greatest places in the world for a kid to grow up., there was always something to do and if you were suitably ambitious, in those days there was no problem finding work.

Most Excellent Companion Outhouse attended Islands Consolidated School in Freeport and graduated in 1977 with honors and was a recipient of the Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia medal. In 1977 he attended Acadia University and entered into a Bachelor of Business Administration program.

Most Excellent Companion Outhouse worked in several jobs prior to settling into his career with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans and later the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). Some of his vocations included; licensed commercial fisherman, baiting trawl (longline), Assistant Light keeper at Boar's Head Long Island; fish processing at Small Bros Ltd. in Tiverton as a fish cutter/filleter; First Mate on board the ferries between Long Island - Briar island and mainland, and received First Mate Ticket; he worked with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans and later the CFIA for 34 years, of which the last 26 years was in the position of District Supervisor in Grand Falls-Windsor Newfoundland and finally in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He received a citation on behalf of the CFIA for his work with the Swiss Air disaster, in addition he received the Outstanding Supervisor Award in 1999. M. E. Comp. Outhouse also received an award from the Dept. of Fisheries and Oceans in 1995 for the development of specialized equipment for use in field operations which continue to be utilized to this date.

He enjoys several types of hunting, fishing for salmon or trout, hand lining for cod and haddock, playing golf, riding a four-wheeler and just spending time in the great outdoors. He especially cherishes his time at the cabin in Springfield, Annapolis County, Nova Scotia with his wife Jean.

Most Excellent Companion Outhouse is married to his best friend and companion Jean (Pardy) Outhouse. They have four children, Michelle Imhoff (Neil), Colin Marche (Pam), Matthew (Donna) and Kevin, who have all flown the nest and found themselves prosperous careers. They are especially proud of two beautiful granddaughters, Kali and Anita, and grandson Spencer, and they are currently awaiting the arrival of another grandson. As parents, both Jean and Peter are very proud of the success of their children, they have grown to be fine men and women.

Most Excellent Companion Outhouse began his Masonic career at Lodge Northcliffe No. 1086, Grand Falls-Windsor, Newfoundland, where he received his Enter Apprentice degree in 1991.

Received Fellow Craft and Master Mason degrees on behalf of Lodge Northcliffe at Ashlar Lodge No. 107 in Smith's Settlement, Nova Scotia where he was Worshipful Master in 1999-2001.

St. Andrew-Renown Chapter No. 2&19, he received the Order of High Priesthood 2008 and was MEHP 2008-2010.

Supreme Council of the 33' of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry of Canada, Sublime Prince of the Royal Secret 32' - Valley of Halifax, and is currently Keith Sovereign Chapter of Rose Croix, Most Wise Sovereign 2012-2014.

The Grand Conclave of the Order of the Secret Monitor, or Brotherhood of David and Jonathan, of Canada, Order of the Secret Monitor Nova Scotia Conclave No. 6.

The Masonic and Military Order of the Red Cross of Constantine, Royal Edward Conclave No. 8.

York Rite Sovereign College of North America, Nova Scotia York Rite College No. 132.

Supreme Grand Council of the Eastern Jurisdiction of Canada, Royal and Select Masters, Chebucto-Richardson Council No. 3. He received the Order of the Silver Trowel 2007, also received Super Excellent Master at Adoniram Council No. 10 in 2007. He was Thrice Illustrious Master 2007-2009; and Supreme Grand Council of the Eastern Jurisdiction of Canada, Grand Sentinel 2011.

Royal Ark Mariners Lodge, moored to Chebucto-Richardson Council No. 3, served as WCN 2013-2014.

Sovereign Great Priory of Canada, Antiquity Preceptory No. 5.

The Holy Royal Arch Knight Templar Priests or Order of Holy Wisdom and Degrees appendant thereunto, St. Andrew's Tabernacle No. 85.

Most Excellent Companion Outhouse now looks forward to the office of Most Excellent Grand High Priest with enthusiasm, and to the duties of that station to perform to the best of his skill, zeal and ability.
